Hello! My name is Colin Emery. I am a cinematographer based out of Savannah, GA and Cincinnati, OH. Since I was a kid I've always been drawn to visual imagery in the arts. My father is an abstract painter and helped shape my view of the world in a unique and meaningful way.
His non traditional view of his outer world and inner mind on canvas inspired me to step outside the status quo and look at my surroundings with a more colorful lens. At an early age I was introduced to filmmakers like David Cronenberg - artists who sought to push the limits of reality. It was through this discovery that I came to shape my own personal film making style.
My father worked as a professor at the Art Academy of Cincinnati for some time, and he certainly was my first teacher and mentor. He gifted me my first 35mm still image camera which allowed me to really begin capturing the world around me.
Through the years I have worked with many creative collaborators, each with their own story to tell and each trusting me to deliver their vision in a unique and meaningful way. I've worked hard to cement myself as a reliable and truly creative individual.
It is my passion in life to create meaningful imagery that others can see themselves in. Currently I am in the pre-production stage for three incredible films that I can't wait to share soon.
