Welcome In
(Director of Photography)
A retail worker who avoids their own reflection searches for any means of connection, only to find just that in a suspected shoplifter.
Welcome In is a look into work culture and identity. It is a narrative told without showing the main character's face. This "Greeter" goes about his day at work, trying and failing to find any semblance of connection. That is until he happens upon a suspected shoplifter. What ensues is a moral dilemma that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats.
This project partnered with Habitat for Humanity in support of local businesses and companies that give back. It's meant for the little guy, someone everybody can relate to. It connects this message with one of self-image and people pleasing. The greeter is a character living for others, rarely himself. This film seeks to show the negative effects of ignored self reflection.
